This is Preacher's story who has always viewed himself as invisible and unimportant to his family. I felt at the beginning he was quite self-centered, thinking only about himself, but through a near tragedy, he comes to realize what he has in his family. They rally around him, support him, and love him as the Glover family always does. They encourage him and help him to make things right with Charlie. This is a great series and the Glovers are my favorite characters in Liz's books because their strength is in their love for each other and their faith in God.
